Why is credit repair needed so badly
Our credit is important. We need it for almost
anything we do that requires a purchase. Unless you deal with strictly
cash and never use credit, then surely you've had issues with
your credit. Dealing in credit repair can be a dirty word because
its often associated with scams. There are plenty of credit repair
scams on the Internet. Just Google the word and you'll find thousands
and thousands of pages. Most of it is just a ploy to get you to
spend money and the result is a flimsy product, usually a page or
two citing the FCRA.
We knew this 13 years ago when we took our credit
education online. We decided that our product would be the absolute
best we could make it. With years of research using experts, we
created a do it yourself credit
repair product that
offered everything you'd ever need to really correct
your credit. And, we made it affordable. Because we can
provide instant access to thousands of people at on time, we could
afford to keep the cost low and pass the savings onto you. You get
real education, real tools and at a real value.
You should always be careful of anyone offering
to guarantee a clean credit report for you for a fee. That
simply isn't true. No one can guarantee you that because they don't
control the credit bureaus or furnisher of information. Those are
the sources reporting your credit. What's necessary is to arm yourself
with the best possible education and information and then go after
the credit bureaus, collection agencies and creditors.
Yes it's true that negative and accurate information
can be deleted. It's true, because often, the bureaus cannot verify
the information when you hit them with everything you've got and
the item is removed. This is how most credit repair is done.
Say you have a judgment listed on your credit
reports. Of course it's very negative and a total credit killer.
If you began questioning that item and found that either the judgment
creditor did not follow all the rules or the credit bureaus, then
it could be removed. The FCRA says that information must be 100%
accurate but most of the time, a consumer doesn't know that they
have the right to PROVE it or REMOVE it.
There are also a lot of items that don't belong
in credit reports because they are either wrong, expired or obsolete.
Those items can sit there for ages, if you don't take audit of your
credit. A credit report should be managed just like anything else
in your financial life. So, this is what we are about. We know that
a good solid education in credit and collection can help thousands
who are suffering from bad credit. Whether the bureaus like
it or not, consumers have every right to audit their credit and
fight back.
Just like the bureaus and creditors have a right
to report information about how you pay your bills, you have a right
to make sure ALL the data is correct. If it's not then it must be
removed. Another very important component to credit repair is the
FDCPA. A bill
collector can violate your credit in many ways and if you don't
stop them no one will. When you combine education with powerful
consumers laws you can make a HUGE impact on your credit and ultimately
your credit score.
Do we hate the bureaus? Not at all. But unlike
many people, we know they are a FOR profit business like
anyone else (not Government like many believe) and we know the type
of mismanaged data that comes with who they are. Is this fair to
the rest of us who are trying to make and live a good life and perhaps
enjoy good credit? No.
That's why education is so important. The
Federal Trade Commission receives thousands of disputes every
year from people just like you who are fed up with mismanaged credit
data or abusive debt collectors. We are for those people
because the credit industry isn't. People don't often like to see
the ugly side of the credit industry. It isn't all 0 APR's and happy
home loans. There is a lot of abuse and poorly managed data in this
industry.
Of course there are thousands of websites that
will fix your credit for a fee but there are only a handful
that will teach you what the pro's know to do the job right. You
may say, 'well, the Federal trade Commission says I can do it myself".
We agree. That is why we feel there is a large market for consumer
credit education. The FTC is a great source of telling you what
you can do but they don't tell you HOW to. Sure, they provide a
little bit of literature on the actual methods but most of their
information is to aid you in understanding your rights, not the
depths of working on your credit, dealing will debt validations
and structuring negotiated settlements. Those are all important
elements to credit repair.

And it goes on and on. When
we think credit repair, we aren't speaking of those who try and

We are talking about the
REAL need to repair your credit because it's full or erroneous or
false information. If you don't correct it then you'll likely have
to pay some else to.
